Well, I know Zach is most against anything of these sorts of things and I have respect for this.
But I'm most curious and I desire the answer.
Mostly because I don't see how one can do this without the battery dying or anything like that.
Does anybody know how this is accomplished?

You would need to route a port for the battery. Alternatively (and with much greater difficulty), you could use a cord like that found with Alembic series 1 and 2 instruments, which is a five pin cable that also provides power to their preamps, led's etc. The Moog guitar has something similar, but frankly this option is well beyond the means of the hobbyist guitar modifier.

You just arrange it so the guitar's output jack (instead of the pedal's input jack) works as the battery switch, so it's not draining power when the guitar isn't plugged in - you could reuse the pedal input jack, it's a good quality one. The battery life in the FF is so long that it's fairly pointless to go to the trouble of an external power supply - you don't even really need to use a battery box, you'll need to change it so rarely that you can easily put it under the pickguard or in the normal control cavity.

It will still need a fair amount of work in most guitars though, you need somewhere with enough space to fit the circuit board and battery securely, and drill holes through the front for the knobs, unless you want only a couple of them available in which case you could use the tone knob holes if you don't normally use those, and add extra wires to reach the circuit.
